  • Qutub Minar is considered to be the Tower of Victory.It was built in three stages by three rulers. Qutub-ud-din Aibak,the first Muslim ruler of Delhi started construction of the first stage of Qutub Minar's first storey(basement) in 1192 A.D. Aibak's successor and son-in-law Shams-ud-din Iltutmish built three more storeys in 1220 A.D. Finally Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1368 constructed the fifth and last storey.
