Solution

Gibberellins:

  1. Gibberellin was first discovered in 1926 by a Japanese scientist, Elichi Kurosawa when examining balance, the 'foolish seedling disease' in rice.
  2. It was first extracted in 1935 by Teijiro Yabuta and Sumuki from fungal strains provided by Kurosawa from Gibberella Fujimori.
  3. Thus, Yabuta named it gibberellin.
