Human Virus:

  1. Viruses are small non-cellular entities with one or more molecules of either RNA or DNA enclosed in a coat of protein.
  2. They are non-living and reproduce only within the cells which are living and are obligate intracellular parasites.
  3. Their size ranges from 0.02 μm to 0.3 μm. And their size is much smaller than prokaryotic cells.
  4. The size of the largest virus is about 200 μm in diameter and the smallest virus size is 28 μm in diameter.

Discovery: A US army physician named Walter Reed discovered the first human virus in 1901.
