Solution

The correct option is D Embden, Meyerhof and Parnas
The pathway of the breakdown of glucose into pyruvic acid is termed as glycolysis. This process was elucidated by Gustav Embden, Otto Meyerhof, and J. Parnas. Hence, glycolysis is also termed as the EMP pathway.

Calvin and his team elucidated the complete C3 cycle. The C3 pathway is universal to all green plants and a common cycle in photosynthesis. It is also called the Calvin cycle.

Sir Hans Krebs worked on flight muscles of pigeons to find out the tricarboxylic cycle (TCA cycle) which is also called Krebs cycle. Glucose is fully oxidized in this process.

Warburg discovered that increase in oxygen concentration resulted in the decrease of photosynthetic rate in C3 plants by using an alga called Chlorella. This effect is also termed as the Warburg effect.
