Political Science is a subject that comprises of numerous subfields including comparative politics, international relations, political economy, and political methodology. Political Science measures the success of governance and specific policies by keeping factors such as stability, public wealth, justice, economic growth, etc.

Why Aristotle is called the father of political science?

Aristotle is called the father of political science because he elaborated on the topics and thinking of the Ideal State, slavery, revolution, education, citizenship, forms of government, the theory of golden mean, theory of constitution etc. He said these topics are essential for a man to know his surroundings and environment. He also said a famous quote ‘Everyman is a social and political animal’. His study on these matters and subjects of governance, education, and ideology made him confident in political issues. Hence he is regarded as the father of political science.
