Solution
Ferdinand De Levis is a prosperous jew; the friend to whom Dancy had sold his horse and whose thousand pounds [from the sale of the same horse] Dancy steals in the play.
De Levis suspects Dancy for the theft of his money.
Canynge also suspects Dancy later on because when he touches Dancy's sleeves, he finds them wet to touch and realises that Dancy had been outdoors but Dancy had told him that he had been indoors.
