Who is the ‘Father of Indian Economic Planning’?
Father of Indian Economic Planning is Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah. Sir M Visvesvaraya, popularly known as Sir MV, was an engineer, statesman, and a scholar. Sir MV served as the Diwan of Mysore during the period of 1912-1918. In 1955, he was honoured with Bharat Ratna. September 15 is celebrated as Engineers day, in his memory.
