Solution

The correct option is A Abbe Nollet
In 1748, Abbe Nollet filled a pig's bladder with water and alcohol obtained from fermenting grains. He then placed the bladder in water. The bladder swelled as water entered it. However, to his surprise, the alcohol remained inside the bladder.
Nollet's observation were possible because of difference in water potential between the inside and outside the bladder. This is a special kind of diffusion called as osmosis.
