The correct option is B Lech Walesa and Solidarity
Solidarity, a Polish trade union, was formally founded in 1980. Under Jaruzelski's martial law, the union operated as an underground organisation, and carried out many strikes and protests. In 1989, Solidarity was allowed to contest elections, and it went on to win 99 out of 100 seats in the Senate. Lech Walesa, one of the main leaders of the union, went on to become the President of Poland in 1990.
