Aurangzeb was the last powerful Mughal ruler.
Aurangzeb was the sixth Mughal emperor whose reign lasted for 49 years. He was very strict and dutiful ruler. His administration was kept under his control and was not allowed to be shared. All his administrative ministers were strictly controlled by him which later on became one of the reason for the fall of his own empire. He imposed Jizya, a military tax on Hindu (and other non-muslims).
