Solution:
Mohammed bin Tughlaq acquired the throne of the dynasty after Ghiyasuddin’s death. He was the first Delhi sultan to establish an empire in India.
He shifted his capital from Delhi to Devagiri as a precaution from foreign invasion.
His subjects suffered as precautions were not taken.
He established a department of agriculture which helped in making uncultivable lands cultivable and provided various schemes to support farmers financially, but people from the Do-ab region had to pay more taxes.
He introduced a new gold coin called dinar, and a silver coin called adli. Due to the lack of a proper minting body, many coins were minted which resulted in chaos in the country.
