Solution
The correct option is B Lech Walesa
Lech Walesa is a retired Polish politician and labor activist. He co-founded and headed Solidarity, the Soviet bloc's first independent trade union, won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983, and served as President of Poland from 1990 to 1995.
On August 14, 1980, during protests at the Lenin Shipyard caused by an increase in food prices, Walesa climbed over the shipyard fence and joined the workers inside, who elected him head of a strike committee to negotiate with management. Three days later the striker’s demands were conceded, but when strikers in other Gdansk enterprises asked Walesa to continue his strikeout of solidarity, he immediately agreed. Walesa took charge of an Interfactory Strike Committee that united the enterprises of the Gdansk-Sopot-Gdynia area.
