The Mensheviks's was formed as result in the Russian Socialist party. They felt that, due the economic conditions tin Russia , socialism was not achievable. They operated by conservative views with respect to economic and social development.

The Bolsheviks wanted socialism at any cost. They felt Russia needs socialism. It was founded by Valdimir Lenin.

Both the parties enmity increased that, it eventually became a civil war. They Bolsheviks managed to seize power and instilled socialism
