Watan jagirs were the jagirs of Rajput feudal lords who had accepted Mughal rule voluntarily. After the Rajputs accepted Mughal rule, their lands were returned to them as jagirs. They collected taxes from such lands and handed them to the mansabdars of the Mughal empire. Such jagirs were called Watan jagirs.
