Question

Why a fuse is always connected to live wire?

Open in App
Solution

  1. A fuse is always connected to live wire due to its high potential, it allows over-current to pass through it without melting. If we connect the fuse with the neutral wire then it will melt or break due to the overcurrent.
  2. The appliances are still in contact with the live wire, if someone touches the appliances then, they will get shocked.
