Why according to Rutherford positively charged particles are concentrated at the centre of the atom when alpha particles were sent through a thin metal foil.

Because it was observed that some rays traced their incident path back. This could have only if they the alpha rays(+vely charged) were being repelled by a collection of positive charge or protons concentrated in a nucleus.
