Question

why air conditioned buildings have double wall windows?

Open in App
Solution

As we know that air is very poor conductor of heat. The double glass windows of AC buildings contains a layer of trapped air inside them. This layer of air acts as an insulator which prevents the transfer of heat and energy between the inside of the building with the surroundings. This keeps the rooms cool and save a lot of energy.
