Question

Why air is homogenous not heterogenous?

Open in App
Solution

Dear friend,

Air consists of oxygen , nitrogen , carbon dioxide ,etc in variable amounts.
But they all are at same physical state (gaseous state) and cannot be seperated by just looking at them and picking by hand. Thus air is homogenous.
But a heterogenous mixture is clearly visible to seperate them by hand . For example like different fruits inside a basket. We can seperate them by hand.

Hope this helps
Regards !!!
