Why alloys are more better than metals ?

An alloy is a combination of metals usually made to enhance certain properties like strength, ductility, resistance to corrosion etc to fit better the uses they have been designed for. The advantage of alloys over pure metals is the ability to combine the best properties of multiple metals. For e.g. steel is more harder than pure iron,. more resistant ot corrosion. Hope this helps.
