A system of organs that circulates the body fluids i.e., blood and lymph throughout the body is called the circulatory system.
There are several organ systems in our body and they need the help of the circulatory system to carry out their function properly.
For example, the nutrients absorbed after digestion are transported by the blood, the transport of oxygen to distant tissue is carried out by the blood, and the lymphatic system assists the functioning of the immune system
Circulatory system also plays a crucial role in the elimination of toxic metabolic wastes.
Thus, animals require a circulatory system to carry out their metabolic activities properly and distribute the metabolic products or reactants to the tissues where they are needed.
