Open in App
Solution

Transportation of Amides:

  1. Xylem vessels transport water and minerals from roots to all parts of the body.
  2. Some nitrogen ions get transported as inorganic ions.
  3. But, some of the nitrogen gets transported as an organic compound called amide.
  4. Amide contains more nitrogen than amino acids.
  5. Thus, amide gets transported through the xylem vessels.
