Why are beehives kept in a crop field during flowering period? Name any two crop fields where this is practised.

Solution

Beehives are kept in a crop field during the flowering period because, in the process of converting the nectar from flowers, they increase the efficiency of pollination. This in return not only increases the crop yield but also increases the honey production. The crop fields in which this is practiced are apple and watermelon fields.
