Question

Why are covalent bonds different from ionic bonds ?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

covalent bonds are different from ionic bonds only due to the electronegativity covalent bonds occur between atoms with same or very less electronegativity differences, while ionic bonds occur between atoms having very different or various electronegativities.
That is why covalent bonds are different from ionic bonds.
