Solution

Dear Student,

Ethers are not dried by conc. H2SO4 as H2SO4 leads to the cleavage of C-O bond resulting is different types of products formed under different condistions.
For eg. Ether on reaction with conc. H2SO4 yields alcohol and alkyl hydrogen sulphate.
Secondary and tertiary ethers give alkenes when reacted with conc. H2SO4
