Forests on the verge of disappearance because:

  1. Deforestation: Construction of roads and buildings, industrial development, and increasing demand for wood is leading to elevated rates of deforestation.
  2. Overgrazing :The forests adjoining the villages are not regenerating and are on the verge of disappearing due to the overgrazing of animals and indiscriminate felling of trees.
  3. Global warming: Rise in the temperature of earth is leading to the degradation of the forests as all life forms within them are being affected.
  4. Increase in population and urbanisation: Due to the ever-increasing demand for more land, more forest regions are being brought down to meet the requirements.
