Since the night-blooming flowers bloom at night, insects cannot see them as well to get attracted to them. These flowers conserve energy by not producing pigments for the petals. They compensate for it with a wide spreading fragrance. White colored flowers are also visible at night due to the phenomenon of refraction which makes them appear in front of pollinators.
