Solution

The correct option is A To allow more loss of heat through the surface.
Space shuttle entering from space experiences a lot of air resistance and heats up greatly in the process. Since black colours are best radiators of heat, part of space shuttle is covered with black tiles to allow heat radiation out from the surface of the shuttle and hence more heat loss from the surface.
