Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

The proteolytic enzymes are secreted by the cells of the digestive organ. And we know the structure of a cell membrane, composed of proteins and lipids. So for the protection of those structural proteins in the cell membrane from being broken down by the action proteolytic enzyme, the proteolytic enzymes are secreted in an inactive form.

Regards.
