Some liquid medicines can react with light, so they are kept in dark colored bottles to prevent the medicines from sun light.
Dark colored bottle act as filter and prevent the reactions which can take place when medicines are exposed to light.
Example
Dark colored bottle prevent decomposition of silver chloride into silver and chlorine.
Hydrogen Peroxide is one of the example, when we keep it in sunlight, it breaks into oxygen gas and water, hence it is also stored in dark coloured bottles.
