Question

Why are treads made on the surface of tyres?

Open in App
Solution

The grooves in the rubber are designed to allow water to be expelled from beneath the tire and prevent hydroplaning and it gives a better grip because of friction while driving. If the treads are not made on the tire there are chances of accidents because the car might slip due to lack of proper friction.
