Solution

Pole pieces of galvanometer made concave:

  1. Pole pieces of galvanometer are made concave so that the magnetic field and the current-carrying coil are always perpendicular to each other.
  2. It produces a radial magnetic field.
  3. The moving coil rotates in the magnetic field produced by the permanent magnet, the equal and opposite force rotates the coil.
