Question

Why atoms are so small?

Open in App
Solution

Atoms are the basic the smallest integral unit of matter .If we consider , for example, one very small grain of sand and we want to divide it into smaller and smaller parts we come to constituent chemical elements of sand. Actually sand is in chemicsl sense made of small particles SiO2 molecules. And every molecule of SiO2 is made of Si and O atoms. Si and O are chemical elements two of 118 of them ( and more with isotopes) from which are made we all material world that surround us.

Atoms are the smallest material parts which still have properties of some specific materrial. atoms are made up of smaller particles - portons, neutrons, electrons whichare of the same structure for all substances.More over after atoms which show material nature, we come to smaller particles, electrons, ehich can exhibit behave as both waves and particles
