Open in App
Solution

Baculoviruses:

  1. Most Baculoviruses belong to the genus of Nucleopolyhedrovirus, and are mainly used as biological control agents.
  2. They are pathogenic, attacking insects and arthropods.
  3. Further, they do not negatively affect mammals, birds, plants, fish, or even non-target insects.
  4. They are specific to particular species and show narrow spectrum insecticidal applications.
  5. They are useful in overall integrated pest management when beneficial insects need to be conserved or ecologically sensitive areas are being treated.
