Dear student,Embryologically, blood has the same origin as the other connective tissue types have and blood connects the body systems together bringing the needed oxygen, nutrients, hormones and removing the wastes.Due to these reason blood is characterised as connective tissue. Liquid matrix of blood - Plasma Plasma contains proteins, salts & hormones. Regards
