  1. Clinical thermometer is used to measure human body temperature.
  2. Clinical thermometer is capillary tube made of thin glass which is filled with mercury.
  3. For sterilizing, the clinical thermometer is not placed in boiling water because the bulb may break as its made of thin glass.
  4. Instead of boiling water, formaldehyde is used to sterilize the clinical thermometer.
