Our eyes need light to see objects. In the dark there is no sufficient light to get reflected back from an object, so we cannot see things around us. Some animals like cats and owls can see better in the dark because the pupils of their eyes can open wider and receive more light than our eyes can.

We all know that , we see a object because light is reflected by that object and it reaches to our eyes for example I am in a room and I can see everything but their are some objects which do not reflect light i.e.bedsheet so how can I am able to see them?
