Solution
A laboratory thermometer is used to measure the temperature of objects in a laboratory.
It does not have a kink present in it.
Absence of kink results in an instant drop of mercury as soon as it comes out of the object.
It has to be surrounded from all sides while taking the reading.
As soon as you take out the thermometer from the mouth of the body the temperature will start falling this makes it difficult to read the actual temperature.
Therefore it is not used for measuring the human body temperature.
