Why cannot fertilisation takes place in flowers if pollination does not occur

Dear Student

Pollination is the process by which pollens are transferred to the egg in the female part of the flower for fertilization. Without pollination male gametes (pollens) cannot reach the egg. Thus fertilization cannot possible.
