  1. Turner syndrome is characterized by the absence of one of the X chromosomes.
  2. It is said to be a kind of aneuploidy, where one chromosome is absent.
  3. They have 45 chromosomes with XO karyotype.
  4. Normal females possess a pair of X chromosomes.
  5. Females with Turner's syndrome have either only one X chromosome or the other chromosome is structurally abnormal.
  6. Maleness is determined by the Y chromosome so males cannot have Turner's syndrome.
  7. Affected females are sterile. lack secondary sexual characters and look physically different.
