  1. The pattern of disturbance that is generated by the flow of energy as it propagates away from the source of the sound across a medium is termed Sound waves.
  2. In space, a polarized wave vibrates in a single plane. Sound waves cannot be polarized because they vibrate in the same direction as they travel.
