Question

Why cant we see a birds shadow flying high in sky

Open in App
Solution

A shadow forms when light is obstructed by an object.
So when the sun rays strike a bird which is flying very high, they bend and converge at a point which is above the ground and as a result no shadow forms on the earth surface. ... Because the bird is smaller than the sun in the sky.
