Solution
Taxonomy:
Systematics or taxonomy is the study of the diversity of living species and their evolutionary relationships.
Thus, taxonomy refers to the biological science that deals with the identification, naming, and categorization of organisms.
Carolus Linnaeus of Sweden invented and employed binomial nomenclature in his book "Species Plantarum" to name plants and animals. As a result, he is known as the “Father of Taxonomy.”
According to binomial nomenclature, every organism is given two proper names. For example, the binomial nomenclature of the mango tree is Magnifera indica. Here, the first name ‘Magnifera’ is the genus name and ‘indica’ is the species name.
