Question

Why clothes get dry faster on a Sunny day than a hot humid day?

Open in App
Solution

On a hot sunny day evaporation rate increase that is why wet clothes dry quicker in sun than in rainy day and in rainy day the evaporation rate is slow that is why it takes time. It is also due to humidity. Evaporation depends on temperature, climate and humidity. In sunny day the air is hot so the more moisture it can generally hold as compared to rainy day [the air is saturated]. So this is the reason why washed clothes dry up more quickly on a hot summer day than on a rainy day.
