Definition of mixtures.

A mixture is a form of matter which consist of two or more different pure substances in any ratio.

Example-mixture of sand and sugar.

Separation of the mixture is used to separate useful substances from non-useful substances and also used to remove impurities from the mixtures.

Example stones are removed from rice, and wheat by the handpicking method.
