Why copper does not react with hydrochloric acid
Zinc liberates hydrogen gas when reacted with dilute hydrochloric acid, whereas copper does not. Why?
All metals reacts with acid. Why copper reacts with sulphuric acid but not hydrochloric acid?
Assertion : Copper reacts with hydrochloric acid and liberates hydrogen from the solution of dilute hydrochloric acid.
Reason : Hydrogen is present below copper in the electrochemical series.
