Why Cotton Textile industry is centred in Maharashtra?

A large number of textile industries are located in Maharashtra and Gujarat because :
(i) Cotton is grown on a large-scale nearby the areas of these states, (ii) Transportation facilities are available for bringing the raw material for the industries, (iii) Because of proper transportation facilities goods and products are easily sent to the market, (iv) Availability of trained and cheap labour, (v) To run the industry, power is very essential, (vi) Sufficient capital and proper market for ready products is also available near them.
