Question

Why cyclone doesn't form in rivers and lakes

Open in App
Solution

Cyclone is a tropical phenomenon. They are deep low-pressure centers that generate an organized blob of thunderstorms that circulate around the low. Lakes and rivers simply do not provide the appropriate conditions for cyclones formation. While they are big bodies of water, they are not extensive enough or warm enough, even in the summer to provide the kind of fuel a cyclone requires.
