↵Yes ,it is true that democracy has no effect on corruption .we can also state that democracy is one of the reason of corruption.

• In a democracy on the one hand electoral competition reduce corruption by voting out the corrupt politicians from the office but at the same time Candidates during political campaigning buy votes of poor people with money.
• Corruption and democracy goes hand in hand so in a democratic country like India it is obvious to have corruption at large scale.
• Democracy is not only responsible for the spread of corruption but its gives power to the people to fulfil there selfishness aims.
• Everyone in our country is surrounded by corruption we can also say that its become a necessity for the survival.
• According to the Indian constitution Democracy is of the people,for the people ,by the people But this leads to corruption as once the politicians are elected by the people they serve their own selfishness desires instead of people by whom they got elected.
