IMF and world bank focus on developing countries in order to have a balanced growth and stable economy. Also, developing countries are emerging markets which need push so that, their population develops in the socioeconomic parameters too.

Eg: Developing countires like India, Sri Lanka , south Africa etc have large population and opportunities for markets that can be exploited.
