Solution:
When emperor Aurangzeb died, the struggle for the Delhi throne started. From the south, Prince Azamshah started marching north to capture the throne at Delhi.

Shahau Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Sambhaji was a captive of the Mughals. Azamshah thought that he could easily create a conflict within the Maratha empire by placing Shahu Maharaj against Maharani Tarabai.

After being released, Shahu Maharaj gathered supporters and fought a battle against Maharani Tarabai. Shahu Maharaj won the battle and got himself crowned as the ruler of the Marathas.
